About Naval Postgraduate School, CA
The Naval Postgraduate School is a university operated by the United States Navy. The university is located in Monterey, California. The area surrounding the university are renowned for their nautical sights, including Fisherman's Wharf. The Naval Postgraduate School offers a number of graduate-level degree degrees as well as fellowships.
Established in 1909, nearly 1,300 students attend the Naval Postgraduate School. Most of these students are officers from the various branches of the military, officers from about 30 ally nations, and a sizable but still small number of civilians from federal and state governments.
The school focuses on fields of study typically associated with civilian graduate schools and how those skills can be applied to the navy, whereas many military-run schools focus on fields of study fairly unique to the military.
