About Naval Air Technical Training Center, FL
Located in Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida, the Naval Air Technical Training Center is operated by the United States Navy. The training center consists of three schools. It trains a class of roughly 15,000 students in technical skills for the United States Navy, Marine Corps and Cost Guard.
Established in 1942, the Naval Air Station trained military personnel through World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and other major conflicts. Its storied history informs its mission to produce the best-trained sailors of today.
The "A" schools enroll the largest segment of the student body for technical jobs as a petty officer, third class. Advanced schools also provide training at higher levels. Technical training for officers is available through the Naval Air Technical Training Center.
