GENERAL EXPERIENCE: An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least three (3) years of specialized working experiences in performing, training and/or supervising assigned integrated systems repair and maintenance work operations.
Must have working and training experiences in the maintenance, repair, and modification of integrated multi-complex avionics systems.
Skilled in planning tasks for subordinate workers and expanded knowledge in using the equipment, facilities and materials.
Skilled in meeting deadlines, in using time management to satisfy priorities and work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors.
Experiences included redirecting individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work.
Skilled in articulating work requirements to higher level supervisors and experienced in planning current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommending projected work.
BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify an applicant for one of the FWS Series 2610 ANG Dual Status Technician positions, apply and evaluate the applicant's competencies, military and civilian experiences, completed education, learned skills, obtained knowledge, endorsed abilities, and training program accomplishments.
The following seven basic qualification factors are applicable to the FWS ANG Dual Status Technician positions: Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Skilled in duties such as, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes Ability to format and write English in reports and presentation formats Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting material Skilled in training, mentoring, leading, and problem-solving Other Qualifications To initially qualify and prior to appointment, an applicant's military medical record must indicate a completed and current medical physical, medical profile, a cleared drug test; and, normal color vision as defined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examinations and Standards.
To initially qualify and as a condition of continued dual status technician employment, must have the capability to lift, carry, push, or otherwise handle items weighing up to 70 pounds.
To initially qualify and as a condition of continued dual status technician employment, must have the physical capability to stand, climb, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and stoop over extended periods of time.
As a condition of continued dual status technician employment, the employee must complete the hazmat certification within six months of employment and complete hazmat recertification every two years.
As a condition of continued dual status technician employment, the employee must maintain the position's mandatory AFSC skill level and continue on-the-job proficiency requirements.
As a condition of continued dual status technician employment, the employee requires routine access to classified Secret material or similar environment.
For award and retention of a compatible AFSC, the employee must have a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit (NACLC) according to AFI 31-501, Personnel Security Program Management.
The employee's clearance reinvestigations must be opened prior to the expiration of his or her current investigations.
