The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to do the work of a High Voltage Electrician without more than normal supervision performing duties such as: 1) Install, repair, and modify high voltage electric power-generating and distribution equipment such as generators, transformers, switches, circuit breakers, recording instruments, and control systems from 480 to 69,000 volts; 2) Read and understand circuit diagrams of interconnects (e.g., generators, buses, switches, circuit breakers or feeders, substations, transformers, and interconnections) to diagnose problems; 3) Use test equipment (e.g., ohmmeters, voltmeters, meggers, continuity checkers, oscillators, phase rotation meters, digital test equipment, and cable locating and fault finding equipment).
