The Scientific, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Student Employment Program (SSEP) is a direct hire authority for undergraduate and graduate degree seeking students enrolled in scientific, technical, engineering, or mathematics majors.
Students must be continuously enrolled on at least a half-time basis at a qualifying educational institution.
Students may be appointed to temporary (NTE 1 year), term (NTE 4 years) or flexible term (NTE 120 days past graduation) appointments.
Duties can vary based on the Division for which selected.

ELIGIBILITY: COMPUTER SCIENCE To be eligible for the NP-02 Pay Band you must meet the following required level of education: *Completion of 4-years of post-high school study leading to a Bachelor's degree (or more advanced degree) with a major in Computer Science OR a related degree that included 30 semester hours in a combination of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
Note: At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must include any combination of Statistics and Mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.

You are eligible if you are currently accepted for enrollment or enrolled in an accredited college (including 4-year colleges and universities); advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institutions pursuing a qualifying degree on at least a half-time enrollment basis.
All educational requirements and documentation to verify your eligibility for this position must be provided prior to Entrance on Duty.
Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) Requirement: This position requires you to currently possess and maintain an overall G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater out of a 4.0 scale.
(G.P.A.'s are rounded to one decimal place.
For example, 2.95 rounds to 3.0 and 2.94 rounds to 2.9).
Your G.P.A. must be reflected in your resume.
