This position is located in the System Architecture and Product Assurance Staff (SAPA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Smithsonian Institution (SI).

SAPA develops and maintains the foundation system architecture, which describes how information systems co-exist at the Smithsonian and how they support SI administrative and program functions; develops information technology policies and procedures, including technical standards and guidelines.This position creates, configures, migrates, deploys, and maintains websites using Drupal and WordPress platforms.

Provides website configuration, hosting, testing, and deployment support for a large enterprise with over 5,500 staff and over 200 websites.

Experience: You qualify for this position if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system.

For this position Specialized experience is defined as experience participating as part of a team in the development of web and mobile applications within an enterprise-level organization with at least 3,000 end users and 100 websites.

Work experience must include development, management, configuration, hosting, deployment and customer support of both Drupal and WordPress web content management applications including HTML5 and CSS within a Linux environment.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Part-time and/or unpaid experience related to this position will be considered to determine the total number of years and months of experience.
