About the Position: This position is located at Tripler Army Medical Center, which is on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Oahu is the third largest island in the Hawaiian chain.

It is home to about three-fourths of the state's population.

Honolulu is the state capitol and the 11th largest U.S. Metropolitan city.

Waikiki, the most world-renowned site in Oahu, and is the top visitor destination of the state.

The island is very geographically diverse with mountains, rainforests, volcanic craters, tropics, beaches and much more.

A cost of living allowance (COLA) of 11.32% is currently authorized; subject to change.**Salary includes 17.92% locality pay** TAMC is a tobacco-free workplace.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below: To qualify based on your Specialized experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-8 grade level in the federal service which includes working in a catheterization lab preparing patients for invasive procedures, operating x-ray equipment and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; utilizing surgical scrub skills to assist cardiologist during procedures.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.
