FHFA regulates and supervises Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks (the Government Sponsored Entities (GSEs)).

FHFA's primary mission is to ensure that the GSEs operate in a safe and sound manner and support a stable, liquid, and efficient mortgage market, including sustainable home ownership and affordable housing.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.Specialized experience: For the EL-11, You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the EL/GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position must include:- Experience conducting interviews and walkthroughs to document program processes; AND-Contributing to the development of recommendations to improve security measures to mitigate IT security risks.ORYou may qualify with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

(In order to be creditable, education must be related to the position being filled with a major study of computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.) Attach a copy of transcript or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit.Specialized experience: For the EL-9, You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the EL/GS-7 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position must include:-Experience assisting in segments of audits or evaluations that led to the identification of system security vulnerabilities and risks;ORYou may qualify with a master's or equivalent degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

(In order to be creditable, education must be related to the position being filled with a major study of computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.) Attach a copy of transcript or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit.In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
