NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of aircraft weight and balance computations; aircraft performance data; aircraft records maintenance; and aircraft systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must currently be qualified as a Flight Engineer Instructor, or be able to become an Instruction within twelve months on appointment (Must be clearly explained in Resume).
Must have 36 months experience in performing or supervising such functions as in flight aircraft weight and balance computations, C-130 inflight fuel management, C-130 inflight aircraft electrical components management, C-130 inflight computation of takeoff and landing data and aircraft systems maintenance to include hydraulics, electrics, engines, avionics and environmental.
PLACEMENT FACTORS: Applicants should demonstrate through prior experience, education and training the following: (1) Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance.
(2) Knowledge of aircraft maintenance records.
(3) Knowledge of aircraft maintenance plans.
(4) Knowledge of inflight operation of C-130 aircraft systems.
(5) Ability to conduct classroom and flight instruction.
(6) Completion of formal training in aircraft performance data and aircraft systems operations.
