This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER, Position Description Number D1952000 in FAC 41D100 and is part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing.

WHO MAY APPLY: All qualified Missouri traditional guard members and those eligible for enlistment, appointment or transfer into the Missouri Air National Guard.

APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This position is a Temporary vacancy NTE One Year in the Excepted Service.

Employment can be terminated at any time.

This position can be filled up to four years as long as funds are available to support it.

In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the temporary appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status.

Under a temporary appointment, the employment is subject to termination at any time.

This is a bargaining unit position.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.

Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

WG-08 Specialized Experience: Must possess 12 months of specialized experience which demonstrates your ability to operate, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and overhaul fuel systems and components; skill in receiving, storing, transferring, issuing and testing of fuels; knowledge of safety regulations and use of safety equipment; and using accounting and inventory techniques.

General Experience: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.
