MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GS-09: If you have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the federal.
Specialized experience at this level may include performing the full range of audit activities on assigned audits or portions of audits; 1) participating in audits and reviews (i.e. allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of funds); 2) examining program documents as well as previous audit reports to determine compliance with governing regulations; 3) assisting senior auditors in auditing complex and sensitive cases to ensure compliance with government statues, federal regulations and policies; 4) gathering, organizing and communicating factual information; 5) interviewing and recording searches using relating laws and regulations; 6) reviewing or changing accounting data in transaction files, ledgers, accounts, summary reports, and financial statements.
OR A master's or equivalent graduate degree or I have 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D.
OR A combination of the above-defined education and experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully.
