Job Summary:This position is located in the Aerospace Ground Equipment Section at ANG Flying Activities and mission support units.
The primary purpose of this position is to accomplish maintenance on electronically controlled powered support equipment containing highly complex digital devices and integrated circuits.

National Guard Membership: This position requires military membership.It is designated for Georgia Air National GuardEnlisted incumbent only.In accordance withANG regulations, incumbent performs duties necessary to accomplishPowered Support Systems Mechanic functions in support of programs essential to state Air National Guard daily operations, training and readiness missions.
As a member of a unit of the Georgia Air National Guard, you will be required to train with your unit, normally one weekend a month and 15 days of annual training each year.Georgia Air National Guard units and members are subject to immediate call to federal or state active duty to meet national or state emergencies.
General Experience: Applicant must have experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment.Specialized Experience: WG-08 Applicant must have at least 12 months specializedexperience that demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory and the makeup and operation of the various individual systems and their interrelationships.
Experience using a small variety of test and measurement devices.
Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components and accessories.
Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
Specialized Experience:-WG-10Applicant must have at least 18 months specialized experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories.
Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments.
Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships.
Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated by the Selecting Official based on the following KSAs considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Knowledge of the mechanical and electrical makeup and operation of powered and non-powered support systems including their major components.
