This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER, Position Description Number D1410000 and is part of the AZ 162nd Wing, Air National Guard.
NOTE: This position is subject to rotating or night shift work.
NOTE: Individual must possess a 7 level due to nature of the job and inability to acquire upgrade training.
Individual selected will receive an Indefinite Appointment and may be converted to permanent based on availability of funds or position no longer being encumbered.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 36 months of experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification.
Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.
Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in aircraft maintenance actions.
Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) team member or Team Chief experience is preferred.
