Infectious DiseaseThe successful candidate will be an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated Clinical Pharmacist with extensive experience providing pharmaceutical care to patients with a variety of infectious diseases.

A Doctor of Pharmacy degree, post-graduate year 1 and year 2 residency training, board certification (BCPS with Added Qualifications in Infectious Diseases), and 3 to 5 years of patient care experience are highly desired for this position.OncologyThe successful candidate will be an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated Clinical Pharmacist with extensive experience providing pharmaceutical care to adult cancer patients.  The Clinical Pharmacist must demonstrate a mastery of providing patient care and understand research methodologies, protocol design, and implementation.

A Doctor of Pharmacy degree, post-graduate year 1 and year 2 residency training, board certification, 3 to 5 years of patient care experience including pediatric malignancies are highly desired for this position. Pharmacotherapy SpecialistThe successful candidate will be an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated Clinical Pharmacist with extensive experience providing pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients with a variety of diseases especially diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular and hematologic diseases, and neurologic conditions.  The Clinical Pharmacist must demonstrate a mastery of providing patient care and understand research methodologies, protocol design, and implementation.

A Doctor of Pharmacy degree, post-graduate year 1 and year 2 residency training, board certification, and 3 to 5 years of patient care experience are highly desired for this position.

Education:4-year bachelor's degree in Pharmacy recognized by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)OR5-year course of study leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in pharmacy from an approved pharmacy schoolOR6-year course of study leading to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.NOTE: Educational course work may be at either the undergraduate or graduate level.

Successful completionof graduate level courses will be accepted as evidence that an applicant also possesses the knowledge taught in courses at lower levels in the same field.

As such, applicants must be graduates of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.ANDLICENSURE: All applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12level in the Federal Government.Examples of qualifying experience include:providing inpatient and outpatient pharmacy dispensing services including the preparation of sterile products; preventing drug reactions or interactions; performing ongoing clinical pharmacy monitoring for patients participating in clinical trials, including therapeutic drug monitoring and dose adjustments based on organ function, while ensuring protocol compliance; providing research support and investigational drug management for clinical trials involving adult and pediatric research subjects; developing policies, procedures and informational material for investigational drug management; monitoring and auditing clinical trials for adherence to federal regulation.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
