This is NOT a full-time position and the position does not have a recurring work schedule.
Intermittent positions enable the University to meet a broad range of customer requirements, including surge, applying diverse acquisition and leadership experience.
There is no minimum guarantee of hours of work for an intermittent position and the total hours that may be worked in a 12-month period may not exceed 1000 hours.
The number of hours that are available to be worked in a position during a 12-month period will be subject to negotiation between the University and the applicant.

For optimum consideration, please ensure your resume reflects how your experience and educational achievements are related to key functional areas of this position including: teaching abilities, mission assistance/consulting, learning asset management (curriculum development and knowledge sharing), and leadership.
Ten to fifteen years of this specialized DoD acquisition experience must be in positions at or equivalent to the General Schedule 14-15/uniformed 0-5/0-6 level.
Experience as a centrally selected Program/Project Manager is highly desirable.
Additional experience in at least one other defense acquisition workforce career field (e.g., sustainment logistics, systems engineering, test and evaluation, contracting, financial management) is desired.
Relevant industry experience in defense acquisition is highly desirable.
Teaching: You must demonstrate the ability to teach and facilitate adult learning.
This includes: (1) demonstrated proficiency in conveying (orally and in writing) complex managerial, technical and business concepts to adult learners with different backgrounds, experiences and abilities; (2) the ability to organize information, develop the thought process and relevant threads/themes, define objectives, draw conclusions, maintain audience interest, and effectively facilitate student learning.
Performance Learning: You must demonstrate the ability to provide Performance Learning solutions through consulting efforts to the Defense Department including the military services and other federal agencies providing technical guidance and assistance on various matters including those of unusual complexity or without precedence.
This includes the ability to enter into agreements with managers and provide consulting support in acquisition and program management through a process of diagnosis, goal setting, programmatic problem solving, decision-making, and group or organizational intervention to bring about successful mission accomplishment and/or organizational change.
Demonstrated success in business development in the commercial sector is highly desirable.
Leadership: Relevant experience in leadership positions in Industry and the DoD's Defense Acquisition Management System such as president or vice president within Industry or program/project manager, deputy program/project manager, division chief, assistant program manager, etc. within DoD is highly desirable.
Leadership at the senior executive civilian levels is highly desirable at one or more functionally diverse, complex organizations.
