Camp Ripley

Located in the Little Falls community of central Minnesota, Camp Ripley has served as a Minnesota National Guard and military training site since its opening in 1931.

Situated on 53,000 acres of land, the Camp gets its name from the former Fort Ripley, as well as its namesake Eleazar Wheelock Ripley, a Brigadier General who fought in the War of 1812.

The Minnesota National Guard uses Camp Ripley to train year round, although it isn't the only agency to use the services of the Camp.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol also use Camp Ripley for various training exercises.

Camp Ripley is also the home of the Minnesota Military Museum, which was opened in 1977 and boasts an impressive collection of more than 35,000 artifacts.

The wildlife throughout the grounds of the Camp require that each year, 3 deer hunts are held on the ground.
